WordPress Plugin Detector
Detect a WordPress site's plugins — the functionality behind the site.
How to use WordPress Plugin Detector
- Enter the WordPress site URL.
- Read the detected plugins — SEO, forms, caching, ecommerce and more.
- Note it's frontend-only — admin/backend plugins leave no trace and won't appear.
- Use it for build planning — assemble your stack informed by what similar sites run.
What is WordPress Plugin Detector?
A WordPress plugin detector identifies plugins running on a WordPress site by reading their fingerprints in the page source — plugin file references, characteristic scripts and styles, and markup patterns. Plugins are what give a WordPress site its functionality beyond the theme, and detection reveals which ones are doing the work.
WordPress's plugin ecosystem is vast, and a site's plugin choices tell you a lot: how it does SEO, forms, caching, ecommerce, security and more. Seeing another site's stack is legitimate research for planning your own.
About the WordPress Plugin Detector
Enter a WordPress site's URL and get the plugins it detectably uses.
What the plugin list reveals: how the site solves problems you're facing — which SEO plugin (Yoast, Rank Math), forms plugin (Contact Form 7, Gravity), caching (WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache), page builder (Elementor, Divi), ecommerce (WooCommerce), and so on; build planning — assembling your own plugin stack informed by what works for similar sites; competitive and capability research — understanding what a competitor's site can do and how; and troubleshooting/inheriting a site — mapping what a site you're taking over runs.
Detection limits: only plugins that leave frontend fingerprints (scripts, styles, markup) are visible — many admin-only or backend plugins (backups, some security, server-side tools) leave no frontend trace and won't show. So the list is "plugins detectable from the outside", not the complete install. Also note: knowing the plugins isn't a full recipe — configuration, custom code and the specific theme matter too. Pair with the Theme Detector and Website Technology Detector for the whole picture.
