A cooking measurement converter translates recipe quantities between kitchen units — cups to milliliters, tablespoons to teaspoons, or fluid ounces to liters. US recipes measure by volume with a fixed ladder: 3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon, 16 tablespoons = 1 cup, 2 cups = 1 pint, 4 cups = 1 quart.

The metric bridge: a US cup is 236.588 mL, a tablespoon 14.79 mL, a teaspoon 4.93 mL. Beware regional cups — a metric cup (Australia) is 250 mL and a Japanese cup 200 mL; this tool uses US measures, which is what American recipe sites mean.
