What is Flip Image?
An image flipper mirrors a picture across an axis: horizontal flip swaps left and right (the mirror image), vertical flip turns it upside-down across the horizontal axis. One click, lossless in concept, and surprisingly often needed.
The most common trigger is the selfie problem: front cameras preview a mirrored image but often save it mirrored too — so text on shirts and signs reads backwards. A horizontal flip restores reality. The design world flips constantly too: facing a subject toward the layout, mirroring assets for symmetry, reversing directional graphics.

The fixes and uses: un-mirroring selfies and webcam captures where text reads backwards; correcting scans and photographed documents captured through reflections or transparencies; design composition — flipping a portrait so the subject faces INTO the page (layout convention) or mirroring an asset for a symmetrical pair; and product/UI shots where the direction of a gesture or arrow needs reversing for a locale or layout.
Two notes from the craft: flipping portraits changes faces subtly (nobody's face is symmetric — people notice their own flipped face more than others'), and text in the image is the tell — any flip that makes text readable was correcting a mirror, any flip that breaks text needs the text region handled separately. Processing is local to the operation; files aren't retained.
